Impossible RAM Problem

OK, so it probably isn't, but I wanted to get your attention. I have a Sony PCV-RX550 computer. The documentaion for this computer says I can only have 512 MB of RAM. However, I have confirmed my motherboard is a ASUS P4B-LX. The ASUS web site says I can have up to 2 gigs. Which is right? Both agree that I need PC 100/133 168 pin SDRam. Thanks. Any help you could give me is greatly appreciated.

just buy the largest stick you can buy in at your local h/w store and try it. if it works, that is that. depends how many memory stick ports there are.
