Even 512 just about does it these days.

Only reason to use upto 4 gigs, is a total photoshop whore, or some audio or video. And servers

they have said that some newer game engines will be needing 2 gigs of memory to be seen at full potential but even then 4 gigs is way overkill. absolute waste of money.

did u mention a screen? isnt that vital....... (lol) or is that free with something. or did i just miss it completely?

but too bad you cant get a sponser to buy a new computer like the athletes have to buy new sports equipment. that would b pretty wild i would think!

my uncle has one of the nice mac setups, hes an architect... hes got the widescreen laptop to match his widescreen desktop
I got to use it once, I would get one but im just too poor and accustomed to windows to change, maybe when i start working

maybe we should turn this into an ongoing thing? keep editing with best hardware so anyone can find it if they want? just post on this thread and then ill edit the original post, actually just switched out the ram, cuz g.skill's is cheaper and has lower latency, maybe ill add in a a pair of heatspreaders...
