Ide and Serial Ata

To get it out of the wa i am a new-b... Anyway the proablem is this I hae two maxtor drives one is a 6y120po ide and one is a 6yp120mo ata. The ide one is about to die, and this is the reason me buying the ata one. What i want to do is make a raid where each hard drive stores the same information. Id anyone would mind explaining or just a link it would be most helpful. Also another question I copied the dying hard drvie to the newer ata version and everything seems to work fine except for office programs it trys to insatll and then gives an error also sys restore does not work and suggerstions??? PLEASE HELP I AM DESPERATE!

You have to delete everthing for RAID 1. You also need a controller (onboard or PCI).

You need to reinstall the Office programs to get them to work.
