Default IDE Flash Disk Drives

One of the partners wants to order an application specific pc. It is designed to be used in a helicopter while in flight. One of the options for this thing is an IDE Flash Disk Drive. As this is still relatively new tech I am wondering if anyone has any experience with them or has seen any reviews. I have been on google for an hour and can't find any definitive answers as to their qualtiy and practicallity.

http://www.xenarc.com/product/mp-fl8.html if you interested in what I am talking about.
