Default IDE cable

hi peeps..
i just wanna know some info about the IDE cable..
I saw this thing in the store...
just wanna know if this type of cable will transfer data faster than the normal one..
36" IDE Rounded Cable (silver)-----> this's the cable dat i saw in the store.

Just allows more air circulation.

he's right, round IDE cables are designed to improve case airflow. they do not increase speed for any device connected to it. they are essentially the same thing as regular IDE 80 pin cables.

if you are in a tight budget you can use a straightedge and a x-acto knife to cut up your flat IDE cables to acheive the same thing. just cut a small slit and use your fingers to tear the rest of the cable like string cheese. this makes it less likely you will acidentally cut through a wire.
