well wow, good luck i know www.newegg.com is a great site, and no shipping charge is required so you pay the price that you see. and i found this site http://xoxide.com/cases.html (that wil take you to the cases, but you can find your way around from there) its not as confusing as newegg, and also has decient selection. have fun, and good luck

This all sums to about 2.3 grand without case, keyboard, mouse. Those are all your choices on what you want to get. This isn't a perfect list so check out other people's recommendation

Cool man thanks. Thats a very nice system. I will probably get rid of one raptor and put in a 160GB hdd instead for my music. and use the rest of the money on mice speakers keyboard and a sound card. Any other ideas people?

Get a CRT, less money, better performance, and you can put the cash somewhere else that you would have to spend on the LCD.

Even if that means saving it and buying something non-computer related.

Hey, any good suggestions on wireless mice and keyboards? I dont want logitech or microsoft.

And the case, I want a full tower with no door and an acrylic window.

mmm, no offense geotech but thats a pretty weak monitor for how much money hes spendin.

this one is a very nice monitor. i know its expensive but it will be awesomeeee. especially if you are doing multitasking.. games... everything, i have a 20" and love it, have not regretted my decision a bit, no sidescrolling anymore. and to have 1600X1200 is tight. Monitors dont change nearly as often as hardware does so having a nice monitor is important and worthwhile, where you can replace your vid card, memory, and other stuff many times. they are also pretty reliable compared to other components and do not fail or give you trouble as much. Also while that is certainly a nice processor barely anything would ever reach its overhead or max it out for a longg time. Its almost unnecessary depending kinda on how long you wanna keep it. but right now you can have a 2ghz old processor and it will not be fully utilized by most apps and even games.

this is the same monitor i have and i love it. havent had a single problem, it is an awesome screen. its like 250$ cheaper than it used to be too. but i would definitely recommend it, and with new monitors like this your warrany is from dell so dont be so afraid to use ebay. also do you want a widescreen or 4:3 ratio like normal? you can get widescreen 20" lcd's now.
