Default I need some help buying a laptop.

I am shopping for a laptop and don't know what to get. I will mainly be using it for school some music and web surfing and probably use it to test my wireless network for vulnerabilities. So far I have been looking at these two.

I am a little worried about buying a Dell laptop right now though with that class action lawsuit that says Dell purposely is selling laptops that fail after the year warranty is over. But they have great deals. Should I get one of these or something else.

HP, no questions asked.

The laptop has much better performance, HP actually knows how to make a laptop, and it looks much nicer than the Dell.
