Have you considered getting a motherboard with onboard audio? Or are you just looking to replace your soundcard rather than your whole motherboard?
In the future, if you plan to build a new computer, a lot of motherboards have onboard audio so there is no need for a soundcard. My motherboard came with a SB-live 24-bit. But I do have to say that I agree Shazbot. The quality is fine, but whatever control programs they give you to customize your settings is very lousy. I was better off with my Audio HQ from my Soundblaster Live! Value card on my old PC.
