The X800 is a sinker buddy, ya should've went with the X800 Xt or XL; the premier best in gaming.

Apokalipse 01-25-2005 02:07 AM

you could try softmodding it to an XT

heh, this guy bought it in the summer of 2004, i remember from when i joined the forums

XL wasn't out

plus, he has AGP

beedubaya, are you only encountering these problems in D3? What about HL2?

Nubius 01-25-2005 02:58 AM

HL2 he can play it completely maxed out. It's mainly because Doom3 is more nvidia specific like HL2 is for ATI, although I think the 6800GT would play HL2 better than the X800 plays Doom3

Apokalipse 01-25-2005 04:41 AM

Doom 3 runs better on Nvidia's cards. I think a lot of it is to do with 'dont render black bits'
