The nVidia has slightly faster memory, but the ATI has a higher core clock speed. In most of the real game based tests, the ATI comes out in front. Don’t get me wrong though, they are both good cards.

I think pretty much everybody prefers ATI. I currently own an nvidia and it works just fine, but I will be buying an ATI with my new system.

i think that is a fair offer. it is definately not worth $250, even if all parts were new.

yeh I would definately go ATI, what I like about the 9600 XT's is that they (apparently) overclock themself when you need performance in games and such, and underclock themself when overheating

I would think it is hard to choice because i have seen both cards on computers with same specs and the frames and image quality is so so close . But i would say ati just because it is faster and i haven't seen a game yet were nvidias fx card have shown all there power (cine fx etc.) If there is a game please say
