haha ok so i was talking to a co-worker today and she was telling me that her computer got a virus or something and she cant even see the folders on her desktop anymore. then here i come trying to be a hero hahaha and say hey let me look at it, well the thing is i no just the basics of removing a virus and i could probably do it but i was just wondering if you guys knew any good techniques that could help me. ahahaha thanks in advance

oh and she told me that her antivirus is expired hahaha and i dont know the model numbers or anything

Backup all your important data and do a fresh install of windows. That is the quickest fix and please tell your friend to update her antivirus.

If the computer is an branded one ask your friend to contact the support for the company.

YOu can also perform an online scan from any of hte antivirus website. like Symantec.com or Mcafee.
