HP PSC 750 help

I just bought new ink cartridge from hp. When I put them in my hp psc 750 it saids Remove and check color cartridge. I remove it and put it again in the same here comes out. I notice that the hp psc 750 ink cartridge looks different from the old one. This one has three holes and the old one doesn't. Im I this error because hp changed the carriage or because of my printer.
