In April, I purchased the new HP Lightscribe DVD burner (dvd640i). Up until about 1 month ago, it was working just fine. I have burned DVDs, CDs, and even Lightscribe labels all with great results. Now, all of a sudden, it won't burn DVDs. I use Nero 6.0 to burn, and have never had problems before. It will still burn CDs and Lightscribe labels. I have just updated the firmware, but that didn't solve the problem. I have contacted customer support, but am still awaiting an answer. Has anyone else had the problem of their DVD burner suddenly not recognizing DVDs anymore? Whenever I put a blank DVD in the drive, it assumes that the disc in the drive is not a blank one. I have tried with Memorex DVD-R 4x and HP DVD+R 8x, with the same results.
