Default HP 890C acting...oddly...

I'm lookingto finda soltion to a problem ive never even seen before. Being an experienced IT Technician at a company, I am worried by this fact alone.

I have here a HP 890C Deskjet, which has just recently had a colour cartridge replaced. Once this was done, extremely wild and wacky thingsbegan happening. It no longer prints in colour and will simply print in black and white with a pure Colour item, such as an image, or skip the colour items, such as black and red lines from the WIndows XP test page.

I have checked all the available items within XP for turning off COlour printing, andcannot seem to findanything that would suggest that colour printigin should not work.

I have opened the printer itself and found little if anything wrong, including blockages, and covers on the Printer Cartridage.

Any Ideas Guys?

I'm totally stumped??
