Default How to wire a game component to usb

Ok so my rock band guitar has decided to break down.
So i retrieved some parts out of it.
one part i found, was the effect switch.
all it is is a rotating peg basically
with 2 white wires and a red wire coming out.
i want to merge it to a usb wire,
how would i do this and what other parts would i need to buy?
