How will ATI respond?

i think the 9800XT should be dropping in price now after being in awe of the 6800

I'll be curious to see which card company utilises PCI Express the best. AGP itself is quite an old technology (about 1998 or something) and the card companies have gotten a little too comfortable with it - it will be nice to see who manufactures the fastest PCI Express card.

The clock speed on the ati card is a lot more then nvidia are saying there cards are going to be . A gap of about 200mhz would that make alot of difference.

you can't really say, Athlon's had performed just as well as P4's with a lot lower clock speeds
Athlon XP 2500+ @ 1.67GHZ verses P4 2.5GHZ - both tested almost the same

btw nVidia is producing PCI express on their 6800U

and also for their entire N40 family, they will be using PCI express... so i tink maybe nVidia will be producing the fastest since they will be using tis technology more

just wait for the benchmarks, there will be a lot of people wanting to know how they perform against each other, so a week or 2..... or 3 or 4..... after the cards are released you may expect them
