Say if I have a windows Xp home is there any way to make certain hareware disabled to other users??? (like disable a webcam for another user)

please tell me if there is free software out there that can do that?

me and y brother share the computer and we both have admin accounts

u could...

use an administrative acount.

and change the user's acount to 'limited'.

and then disable anything that u dont wont them to use from the administrative acount... it will disable it though for both acounts, u will have to re-enable the device once u log back on, but the user with the 'limited' count cannot change any settings that adminitrator has set.

just put a password on the administrative acount, or if your acount already has admin privligas, just put a password on yours.

Don't mind me asking, but Why the Web Cam?

I am normally used to seeing people locking out entire computers (BIOS PASSWORD there) or folders or Cheap InkJet Printer with the expensive ink tanks.

BTW, passwords only slows people down. If they really want in, they will get in.
