very serious, celeron's are extremely low end processors (1.7ghz is $60), mobo is like $60, PC133 memory ($30 - seen it before in office max for slightly lower but it was after a $10 rebate) that's like SDRAM which has been pimp slapped into the past, since DDR is mainstream, a dvd 16x is like $25 and a generic 52x cd-rom not even cd-rw is like $15, ATI Radeon 9000 is pretty old and will not play next gen games well (with the current setup) (i'd pay about $65 for it). A 40gb hard drive is like $50 at retail places. that's like $305 and the rest of the stuff can be bought for under $30, so i'd say as a new estimate around $300 but dont expect over $350

hmm.. no no. I'd be willing to pay more than $800 dollars for a machine like that. A 40GB 7200RPM HD is worth way more than that. and ATI Radeon 9000 is relatively new considering ATI is just recently advertising the 9500. And those optical drives can't possibly be that cheap can they?

yea i just showed the prices, a system with new parts is roughly $350 - $400 US so i'd honestly pay $300 - $350 for that, maybe mac would be glad buying it for $800 but (dare i say it) ive seen emachines around the $800 for better performance

yea man sry but being a celeron and all really brings the price down. Don't feel bad tho, every system will be like that since AMD and Intel are dramatically reducing prices
