i predict socket 939 is going to be the new socket A. Socket A lasted from the early Athlon thunderbirds (under 1ghz) , all the way to the latest Barton 3200+ (still fairly current)

Also like the socket 7, it lasted all the way from pentium 100mhz all the way to 550mhz k6-2.

The best motherboard out right now that is the most futureproof is the Asus AN8 nForce4 SLI Motherboard...
