No, D doesnt mean desktop. It means it uses the Prescott core (90nm).

Ahh the end number is the FSB!?
I dont really understand what you are trying to get at here. The FSB (Front Side Bus) is the path of data transfer that connects the CPU with the rest of the computer. Obviously the higher this is the better. But, just because a CPU has a higher FSB than another, doesnt mean that it will outperform it.

I think that you should try the define function in google. First, go to www.google.com then type in the following:
define: FSB

Now, you can replace the "FSB" in the example with anything you like. Give it a try :D

Hahaha, thats the funny thing. When you say Pentium D, it means dual core. But when you say Celeron D, it means Prescott core.
