"That much Illegal stuff", yup...

I already did massive destruction to my iriver HD when it died.

GParted does format just to be clear. Right click on any drive or partition and you will see the option there to format to the select file system you want. I know it formats the drive cause i just used it no more than 8 hours ago to start my OS reinstall.

Just as much as it can create and destroy partition is can format as well. Woudl be a worthless partitioning tool if it couldnt format.
