yeah but still, shouldnt i be lower than that? unless the AS5 is gonna drop it 15C? idk i just want what i paid for lol. cool cpu

I was thinking the same thing. Took it out. cleaned the cpu and contact point with a lint free rag. reapplied AS5 and tightened it down again. Same results. Thinking maybe an airflow problem. I rearranged my system fans.
Heres how it was before. Idled at 52C or so

Two 80mm in front pulling in air
One side fan blowing directly into case
Two Rear 80mm fans blowing air out
One 120mm exhaust.
Thermaltake psu with decent exhaust

Rearranged these
Still 2 in front pulling in
Still side one pulling in
Two Rear 80mm Pulling in from back
One 120mm at top pulling in.
Only exhaust is the psu fans.

Idles now at 47C. Still. WAY TOO HOT

Room temp is always at around 75, 76

Is it just me or is this physically impossible

Idk ill give the AS5 a few days to work its magic.

well, making all of your fans go in, in theory, should've made it even hotter. What they'll do is sit there and fight each other for who's going to push the air in. Make it equal, and if you have any extra exhaust holes, then make more of them go in than out. Do not point them all in like that.

for some reason, having them all in works better as you can see the temps are better now. but aside from that this all really weird, likie, seriously, not possible
