Default Hmm..

what's the best computer i can get for a budget of around $700

so far, i have an Asus A8V MoBo/64 3400+ for around $290 + shipping
also, a gig of generic ram for $105 + shipping
a cdrw/dvd sony combo drive for $40 shipped
i can a HD locally for $47 (maxtor 40gb 7.2krpm)
oh, and a floppy disk drive shipped for $10
a 6600GT (probably XFX or MSI)

i'm planning on use this computer for games such as HL2 and CS:S

any suggestions?

btw, i had a friend that suggested me to go to ibuypower, except i found out that their pricing was a little over my budget

so with all that said, i'm guessing this is the best setup for a $700 gaming comp?

Athlon 64 3200+ Winchester core $198

Abit AV8 $99

I would get a 6600 GT from eVGA for $173

a Seagate 80GB hard drive for $61

2x512MB PC3200 $103
these are not nearly as expensive as other RAM disks with the same timings

Sony Beige or Black floppy drive $7.00 or $7.50

Sony 16x dual layer DVD Burner $57

total = $698 or $698.50
