what socket are the Dual cores for the AMD gonna be?

I heard that the new socket for dual channel AMD's is going to be called socket "F", not 100% sure, but thats what i heard.

AMD confirmed that their SKT 939 and will work with most of our existing boards.

They were announced to be out in spring or summer as well.

The dual core Opterons will use the exisiting Opteron socket, socket 940.

The dual core Athlon 64s will use the existing Athlon 64 socket, socket 939.

The only current AMD socket that will not support dual core processors is socket 754.

i dont relaly get dual core wat is it bassicly like is it 2 prossesors or somehting?

It's basically two CPU cores which work simutaneously with one another on a single chip.
