Default HELP: Video Capture Card Software?

I own a Zoltrix TV Max PCI video capture card which used to be in an older Pentium I, Win98 system. My new PC is an Athlon 1 Gig, ECS K7S5A mobo, 512 Megs DDR Ram. The problem Im having is finding video capturing software which will consistently run. provides a TV Max app but it has bt848_32.dll issues i cant seem to resolve while other video capture software (BlazeMedia Pro, AmCap.exe) lock up after a few minutes(attempting to close the app produces the error message: This program cannot be closed. If it is being debugged resume it or close the debugger first). Can you suggest stable video capturing software for my Zoltrix TV Max card?

what operating system do you run on the newer athlon 1 ghz? maybe the software for the old video capture card only runs on win98. otherwise i would just suggest buy a new capture card. many times newer hardware with newer operating systems dont get along well with older hardware. i doubt for a piece of hardware that old they would make updated drivers for use on the newer operating systems. i was having this problem with an old ati tv card, it only runs under win98. hope you can find a resolution, but for a decent video capture card you could be spending less than $50 for one at

Do a search on the net for "Dscaler". I have an old VideoHighway Extreme TV card that hasn't had driver support for years, but Dscaler seemed to work for it fine.
Keep in mind you'll have to play with the settings a bit, but it should work for you.

Im using Windows 2000 Pro (sp4). I too think its an OS compat issue. Do you know if Virtual PC 5.0 is capable of recognizing the TV Max tuner card if i were to install Win98SE onto it?

I too have the same problem. I went and did a hunt on the Dscaler suggested above and found their site

Unfortunatley, when looking in the README it stated this: This software will not work with the video in sections of ATI All-in-Wonder or Matrox TV cards. These multifunction cards are supported for output though.

I have not installed it to see if it works so over to the next person.
