Default help with RAID 5

RAID 3,4 and 5 are pretty confusing, what on earth means disk stripping with parity means?

thanks MB,

but what exactly is parity? Is it also data?I got clear idea about striping data that is distributed. What is parity distribution?

And how does it considered to be the best RAID for fault tolerence.

Thanks in advance
