I just got the ASUS A8N-sli deluxe. I also ordered an antec 550 true power supply. The ps has a 20 pin connector and the board has a 24 pin connector. Am I screwed and have to go out and buy another PS? I take it bad things would happen if I tried to use this power supply and just plug it in.

Well you wouldn't just be able to plug it in....there's 4 extra pins so that pretty much stops you from trying that.

There are adapters though. Power is power regardless, they just have it used differently.

But like I said, my PSU actually came with a 20pin-24pin adapter in the box, if not you might try www.svc.com

they have a lot of extensions, cable adapters, etc.. etc..

Don't know, mines a thermaltake though ;) That's why I said I got an adapter :p wouldn't doubt they sell them seperately, but you know they probably aren't the only ones

I can pick one up at microcenter tommarrow. They are like 8.99. Thank you for easing my fear though guys. I was worried I would have to ship it back to new egg.
