Yeah that'll be able to play all newer games very well indeed. That is a very nice graphics card.

Besides ditching the NIC and going for an DFI SLI instead of Ultra (i see you have 2 graphic cards) it is great and will play HL2 full res, full AA, full ainsf, full everything

You will be able to play anygame on the market by far.

Also I wanted that heatskin, couldn't find it in the UK ;)

you don't need the gigabit ethernet card, there's already 2 onboard ones

also, ditch the sound card (i'm guessing it won't handle your speakers as good as the onboard ones can; or am i wrong?)

you COULD try to get a better monitor (isn't there a 17' samsung LCD with 600:1 and 12ms on sale at newegg for under $200?) or a flat CRT

you're getting TWO video cards and you have a non-SLI board? you'll need the SLI version of the dfi board or you won't get everything out of your 2 6800gt's (you might as well just get one card)

one last thing, you COULD replace your athena psu (never heard of it, although i've seen it) with a fortron bluestorm 500w or an OCZ powerstream

Turtle beach is arguably better than creative. I prefer m-audio myself. I still say get the antec true 550 eps for a powersupply

k i got the dfi sli motherboard and i got the OCZ psu so now it all comes out to $2,317.07

Yea, but just buying 2 graphics cards and putting both in and expecting them to work wont' cut it. They won't, they'll hog each other's pipes and confuse the CPU. I dunno if that mobo he's got even has 2 AGP slots. SLI has to have a special motherboard that supports it and a special card that costs 2.5x the cost of a single card non SLIed. and SLI has problems, too. Like it's a fad, and the new 512 bit cards will put it to shame and will make them obselete faster than normal. Save some money and just buy a single one.
