I've just built a new computer this evening, the essential part here to my question is this. Since I can't afford my new RAM until next wednesday, I've had to toss an the only stick I had around that was compatible with my mobo and CPU. The RAM I have in right now is Kingston Value RAM DDR 333 (PC 2700), a 512 MB stick. However, I have a brand new P4 HT 3.0E Ghz CPU, and I'm having a little trouble switching back and forth between programs - most notably limewire. Is this slow RAM causing a bottleneck?

Just a little update...I don't seem to be having trouble tabbing between other programs, it just seems that limewire itself is lagging pretty badly - I've never experienced this before so I'm not entirely sure what to pin it on

Have you installed chip-set drivers, graphics drivers? (yes they are needed in windows)

The ram will be a bottleneck but not that noticeable.
