Default Help! Huge Ammount Of Data Loss!

well, i am extremely worried.

i had about 8,000 files of media files mysteriously disapear.

earlier today they were there, now they arent.

in the folder all files after the letter E are gone. i had them in alphebetical order..and only ones before the letter E are still there.

i ahve only 2000 files now in the folder..and when i right click on it i only have 30 gigs. but when i right click the drive the files were on...nothign has changed..the same ammount of info is still there. i thought maybe they mysteriously got moved..but i did a search and nothing came up..

please help me!

Send a message via AIM to DJ-CHRIS

Check out your recycle bin

If it is not their, and noone on this forum can help you (some should) you should look at a data recovery specialist.

That is EXTREMELY odd for stuff to just dissipear.

Are you having temperature problems?

Overheating can cause data loss.

If you take the hard drive to a specialist it's better to do it quickly, don't use the hard drive as the computer might overwrite that space.
