you could crack open your case and take a peek. Or run a system info tool such as everest. or do DXDIAG and look up your video chipset and motherboard model. Also your amount of system ram is a good indicator, if its integrated, its gonna steal 64 or 128mb of system ram, so you would have a funky number like 224mb or 480mb as opposed to 256 or 512
 
easiest way is to look at the back of your comp. If the video cable plugs into the slots at the bottom then its a graphics card if the video plugs into a slot near all the audio,mouse,keyboard etc then its onboard.
