Help with gaming pc!

Since people in my last thread seemed not to bother at looking at the link i gave them i started this thread. Can any of you build me a gaming pc (that is also upgradable so i dont have to buy a new one every year) that can run half-life 2 and some other games really well for 1500 i would appreciate it.

Also can you build one for 1500 better than this:

That comp i just listed is also 1500 so im seeing if i can get a better deal by making one my self rather than buying the above dell gaming comp. It looks pretty impresive, DDR2, 3.6ghz on a 925Ex chipset.

P.S Why are AMD processors always slower than Intels, they are always like 2.2 ghz and 1.9 ghz where intel are like 3.2-3.6

well i think that he could build it himself there are plenty of websites with how to guides and i built my own system after knowing nothing about computers. Read no manuals and just plugged everything where it fit not too difficult really. plus ibuypower isnt all that great they still charge quite a bit. but hey if you want to build it yourself and need any help im me anytime @ thephilosofizer kk

Local computer stores are sometimes happy to build the PC for you if you take the parts in, others will order the parts in specialy for you and build it aswell.

Try asking a few of you stores or local shops if you feel unable to build it yourself.

I am with stupid, however I would save some dough on a 6800GT and just OC it to ultra speeds. Case is but it's still a good case.

For your AMD question. AMD do have lower clockspeeds. Lets say for every clock, AMD does 2 things and intel only does one. This would make a 1.8ghz AMD the same as a 3.6GHZ Intel in general peformance. This is just an example and is a bit off, the technical reason is Intel's WAAY deeper (and skinnier) pipelines.

AMD Also completly own Intel in gaming for the large part

DDR2 is not really better than DDR, actually it's more of a Intel VS AMD difference. DDR still has lots of life left in it and is very fast, and with my Dual Channel DDR400 (your is dual channel) I can easily wipe a few DDR2 PC's out without overclocking. However after a few weeks when you feel like pushing your PC, you will be able to run the ram at DDR600 speeds

And for the graphics card, it's a 16 pipeline eVGA card. Kicks the crap out of dell's 8 pipeline 6800's with doubble the speed. Dell sells broken graphics cards with their PC with the broken parts disabled, causing a large decrease in speed.
