Default HELP in buying AMD ATHLON XP cpu!!!

hi guys! i need help! i am planning to buy a new computer with a limited budget.

i want to buy an AMD Athlon XP processor but i don't know what to buy. i am choosing from 2100, 2200, 2400, 2500.

does anybody here know what is the best processor i can buy from these that will give the best quality and will reciprocate the money i will spend.

also along with the proessor, the best motherboard that is compatible with it. thanks a lot!

I would say go with the 2500.

That motherboard should ge nice with a 2500

2500+ is definitely the most bang for your buck.

Best Mobo In my opinion is ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe

the 2500+ uses the barton core but the others use the thoroughbred core, the barton core has 512 cache but the thouroughbred only has 256kb, also it uses a faster bus frquency.

after the 2500+ they start getting increasingly more expensive, the 2500+ is in about the middle of the price curve.

it is a descent CPU, which with a good enough video card is enough to play Doom 3
