Default Help

I am having trouble with 2 hard drives. With one I can't access fdisk i get a message saying "no fixed disks present". The other hard drive accesses fdisk but won't bring me to the menu and says "error reading fixed disk". The first probably has no partitions and the second I'm not sure its running NT. Wat can I check to make sure everything I am doing is right or wrong for that matter. I am tring to delete the partitions create a new one and then format. Can anyone help please? Thanx.
