HDD spoil?

Dear all,

Need ur advise.

I have a 80GB sata maxtor HDD. When I connect the it to the MOBO, it gives a souund like "click...click...click..." continuously and my system/bios can't detect as well.

Is it the HDD spoiled? Can it be "cured"?

What ever suggestion is welcome and I will try before disposing it....thanks im advance.

If you desperately need the data, put the drive in a fridge or a freezer in a *air* tight bag. You will have a few minutes to transfer over all the files.
