Default HD-lag?.. Please read this

I posted a thread earlier about some problems with my new computer.

I have now tried alot, and found out that it seems that the lag is a so called HD-lag.

The "lagging" appears at all times.

I have tried old games like, Starcraft, new games like Battlefield Vietnam, and even in my own little Tetris-clone (java-applet) these lags occur.

What happens, is that the whole computer stops for a 0.5-1 second, every 10 seconds or so.

What can this be due to? My harddrive is brand new. My whole system is, in fact.. This is not fun ;(

I've tried to replace the memory, the graphics-card, and it didn't help, so now I think maybe it can be the hard-drive, though it feels very unlikelly that a new hard-drive is broken..

Please help me ;(
