I need some help on how to enable AHCI in the BIOS.

I am seeing [3] specific settings where AHCI can be enabled:

OnChip SATA Type
Onboard GSATA Mode
Onboard ESATA mode

Can someone kindly help me know how to set this BIOS up for running a SSD? I am not sure if all, some, or none are to be enabled for AHCI.

Thanks,

Soar

Moved this to the hardware area. This is more of a question for them than it is fur us Windows geeks.

You want to use Sata Type. That is everything you plug into traditional SATA ports.

GSATA is like an onboard RAID controller, I believe.

ESATA is External SATA. Like what you sometimes see on external hdds.

Edit: That's a new one, Mak. I'll remember that one. :p
