Okay my second (curse Maxtor and WD!!!) 160gb HD crashed two days ago so now i am running Windows XP Pro SP2 off one of my 250GB drives.

tikitaha - Just like Ste says SP2 will have no problem seeing the full capacity of your harddrives. I did not have to do anything extra when I installed last night. Right from the setup/bootup screen windows recognized my large drives. So if you install a 200gb drive windows will see it fine since you have XP pro SP2.

the OS and BIOS can be considered separate entities, while the BIOS may see the drive as it should your OS may not because its not updated.
