Default HARD DRIVE! WD or Hitachi

alright, so HITACHI has a bigger #, and WD i know is a better brand... but whats a better brand even mean???

-Hitachi 160GB 7200RPM Serial ATA 150 8MB Cache
-Western Digital 160GB 7200RPM ATA 100 8MB Special Editon

I have a HITACHI, its quiet and has had no problem, but WD is also a good brand

WD all the way......the 'higher number' you speak of is in terms of its interface......the 100mb is IDE, and the 150 is SATA......you'd better understand this before you go buying a SATA drive and turns out your computer doesn't have SATA ports

WD all the way I had a 80gb hitachi fail on me 154 bad sectors XD
