Default Hard Drive Speakers

ive heard that u can turn hard drives into speakers. is it true? can someone find out how and some videos of it for me? thanx

you probably could "ghetto rig" one of these to a HD platter, but it would ruin the drive NOT WORTH IT.

Yup that's possible. You have find the chip that controls the vibrations of the head on the circuit board, then attach the audio output to it. This causes the head to vibrate just like a speaker. That's the basic theory anyhow. You might have to look for a circuit diagram for your particular hard drive.

I imagine it doesn't sound very good though.

but you would ruin the drive tho right?
