Default Hard Drive Seek Time

Is it better to have a higher average seek time or a lower average seek time?

EX. 8.5ms or 9.3ms

I guess higher is better...I'll just buy the one with 9.3 and see for myself

no, lower is better. seek means how long it takes to...um seek, find something. it is an average

Id really not place much on seek time.Your best bet would be to get a 7200 8mb cach 100 ata if you got cash get a 150 ata.If your trying to break a tie get the one that is cheapest.

There is no such thing as having to big a hard drive.

I wouldnt get a deskstar if the gave them away free.
