Hard Drive Install

I just bought a second WD 200GB SATA Hard Drive, and I was wondering if there was anything I had to do to install it aside from plugging it in and hope it works? I mean do you have to format anything, or will it automatically just show up as a second drive? Also dp the SATA Channels matter? Because my Raptor Drive is in channel 1 and not 0. When I install it should I move the Raptor to Channel 0 and the new drive to 1, or does it even matter?

1) Make sure it is jumpered correctly
2) Partition
3) Format

That is all you should have to do.

So make sure the Jumper is set to slave, and the go through the regular format process. Well, that sounds easy enough thanks for the help.
