Default Hard Drive Help

I am buying a comp and am planning to put my own hard drive in......... do I want serial ATA or eide???? and what are they

From the sound of it, you do not seem to need serial ATA drives, but I could be wrong. The other name of Serial ATA (SATA) is RAID if that makes more sense to you. You may want to let us know what your needs are so that people can suggest you whether you really need SATA or you'd be fine with EIDE. Hope that helps.
