I've also transfered HDD from system to system, even with 2000... much harder to do than with XP. I've found that if you have problems, usually a fixboot and repair option will start it to boot normaly. Did this at work as I was to lazy to do a full format and this slow piece o' crap. Oh, and are you SURE it was enter?? I thought you have to press 'C' to create a partition... but its been awhile.
