Default hard drive?

building a new computer, kinda on a budget. What i mean by budget is that im building it with high end **** like 6800Ultra and athlon 64 3700 socket 939, but as for hard drive and all that other **** im trying to get for cheaper.

I am knowledgable about SATA but i was wondering if the hard drive really has anything to do with gaming performance besides load times cause if it doesnt, im getting this

since its so cheap. I had pretty much the same thing on my old but 120GB and thru WD. Always a champ. Basically since load times arent as big a deal to me, willl this be fine for my speed demon?

right, sata and pata interfaces won't make much performance difference...at least yet. i'd say go for it.

either this or this
Seagate make the most reliable drive IMO, next to Seagate is WD, which some people prefer. either way, Seagate and WD make good hard drives

From my experience, Seagate are cool, quiet and very reliable, Western Digital are more noisy, run hotter, and have a slightly higher performance. You can't go wrong with either.
