Hard Drive

I'm going to get a new HD, probably about 120GB, SATA.

Which is the better manufacturer, Seagate or Western Digital, in terms of performance?

Also what is NCQ on the Seagates?

Western Digital is better for gaming IMO, and Seagate is just stable overall. I would go with WD.

I would do it this way, Heads gets Seagate, tails gets WD.

TBH. they are just as good as each other. The Seagate may be quieter.

I went with Seagate though.

these articles are mainly about bigger drives than the 120Gb you were looking for, but there are also these smaller ones in the benchmarks. and there's also this NCQ thingy explained. put your reading glasses on and give em hell!

i personally like 15krpm scsis. But as far as ide drives, i like WD
