I was on my computer when i heard some clicking noises then i found out it was comming from my HD so i restarted to see if that does any good well it never it wasnt reading the hd after a few moments it started working agian, so do i have to worry becuase i cant hear the clicking sound still or should i start thinking about replacing the HD

Thanks

Wierd noises usually indicate that the hard drive is about to fail. Maybe it's time to replace it.

Yeah new hard drive time. Its not worth getting it repaired. you'll spend more money getting it fixed than buying a new HDD. U may want to send it to a specialist data recovery company if you wish to retrieve any important data. If the hard drive still reads, back up important data right away before the HDD does fail

Thanks I'll geuss i'll buy a new one two da at computer fair thanks agian.

Does Anyone know were i could be able to get a 40-80gb within £25 not smaller than 40gb thanks

I had a WD that would do that, sounded like it was turning on and off, it would do that for 5 min, then stop about 2 hours, and continue, it lasted one more year before SMART on a new machine said that it was failing and i decided to use that to force my mom to buy me a nice new HDD
