The test was to see CPU scaling with the GTX295, thus they set the CPU's to different clock speeds to see the effects on FPS.
why didnt they treat all the chips the same tho?
some they underclocked, some they overclocked, it didnt make any sense to me.
it allmost looked like they were trying to sell the core 2 line.
these were the highest clocks they tested with.
im not for nor against either intel or amd, and i didnt like the way they set up the test for both the i7 920 and the pII 920
niether chip were overclocked.
i dont think you can get the results you want without treating all the canadates the same, or atleast attempting to treat them the same.
they should have done something like this:
25%underclock setting
10% underclock setting
stock
10% overclock
25% overclock
for all the chips they used.
thats just my 2 cents.
and why even test the e8400 if its just one run, a stock run
