Default GTX260's beaten by AOE.

I got no idea why, but when playing Age of Empires 3 (ESPECIALLY the map editor) my card temps go CRAZY.

Had to hit 90% fan to keep it under 80c..... No other games do this. I can play Crysis with 60% fan speed and stay in the low 70's high 60's all day.

Anyone know what might be goin on?
My ambient temp is 26c...

(PS: Newest Nvidia drivers, game updates and direct x....)

Have you tried disabling SLI to play AoE 3? Could be a problem there.

Age of Empires 3 !!!!!! One of my favorite games, unfortunately dropped disk 1 off my computer, landed with the reading side down of course. Big scratch, tried to toothpaste it but that didn't help. I've got the warchiefs and asian dynasties as well.

I played it on a stock dell POS for the most part. It ran fine on low, not sure why it would make your temps go up that high though. Prototype made my temps go up more than warhead, so idk just depends on the game.
