i have an AsuS A8V deluxe (ver.1)

i got it from newegg.

i also have a Winchester AMD64 3000+ CPU socket 939

it works great!

now i ordered these before x-mas so about a month ago.

and the mobo came w/ the updated 1008 bios driver already.

i'm sure if you got yours a week ago, they (newegg) would give you

the 1008 drivers.

but if you didn't order it from newegg, i don't know for sure what

drivers you have.

but yeah, Winchester & A8V = nice

i got mine from ebuyer in the uk but either way i dont really mind now because it looks fairly simple to update it

i got mine a week ago and it did not have the update, I guess it just matters which batch, mine was from new egg also.

yeah, i was actually surprised that it was ver.1008, considering the mobo itself was Rev.1.

but so far so good. i was a lucky one.

and chrisgill369, updating your bios will help a few other issues, mainly memory setup and stability w/ newer parts as well.

good luck w/ that upgrade, it should definately work fine once you have (at least) ver.1008 bios.
